Аннотация: A polymer sorbent with thiourea groups (PVF-TU) is synthesized by copolymerizing polyvinyl alcohol with formaldehyde and thiourea. Its sorption properties for Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), and Ni(II) are studied. In static mode, the sorbent quantitatively (degree of recovery >95%) extracts Cu(II) in the pH range of 3.0–7.0, Cd(II) at pH 4.0–7.0, and Zn(II) and Ni(II) at pH 5.5–7.0. The maximum degree of recovery of Pb(II) does not exceed 88% at pH 4.5–6.0. The time to establish sorption equilibrium is 10 min. The sorption capacity of PVF-TU is 150, 168, 110, 82, and 52 μmol/g for Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II), respectively. The sorption isotherms are analyzed for their compliance with the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Dubinin–Radushkevich sorption models. It is shown that the extraction of metal ions by the sorbent occurs due to chemical interaction. In the dynamic concentration mode, quantitative extraction of metal ions is observed from 40 mL of solution at pH 6.0 and a solution flow rate of 0.5 mL/min. Quantitative desorption of all metal ions is achieved with 5 mL of 2 M HNO3 at 90°C. The developed procedure was used to determine metal ion content in the snow cover of Krasnoyarsk and in Latuca sativa plant samples. The accuracy of the obtained results was confirmed by the added-found method and ICP-MS analysis.
