Аннотация: Настоящая статья посвящена истории сибирского провинциального института и отражает общие тенденции развития региональных педагогических вузов в 1940-е годы. Статья реконструирует историю высшего учебного заведения на основе региональной ретропериодики обозначенного периода. Общеизвестно, что региональная периодика является репрезенПоказать полностьютативным источником освещения малоизвестных фактов из жизни конкретных людей, организаций и учреждений, больших и малых городов, сельских поселений. Информационная неисчерпаемость газеты позволяет существенно дополнить архивные данные и официальные документы фактами истории повседневности. Газетные материалы дают возможность проследить становление преподавательского корпуса с момента основания учебного заведения. Большинство публикаций об институте в газете «Енисейская правда» было посвящено учебной деятельности как основному виду работы вуза: результатам экзаменационных сессий, особенностям организации учебного процесса, внеучебной жизни студентов. Начиная с 1940-х годов. «Енисейская правда» стала мощным и эффективным средством профориентационной работы. Фактологический материал, ранее не вводившийся в научный оборот, дает возможность проследить становление всех видов деятельности вуза в первое десятилетие его работы. Авторы приходят к выводу о том, что активное освещение разных сторон деятельности Енисейского учительского института в районной газете формировало авторитет вуза, создавало условия для открытости института, что способствовало его сближению с широкой общественностью. This article is devoted to the history of the Siberian Provincial Institute and reflects the general trends in the development of regional pedagogical universities in the 1940s. The article reconstructs the history of the higher education institution based on regional periodicals from this period. It is well known that regional periodicals are a representative source of information about little-known facts about the lives of individuals, organizations, and institutions, as well as large and small cities and rural settlements. The newspaper’s wealth of information allows for significant additions to archival data and official documents with facts about everyday life. Newspaper materials provide an opportunity to trace the formation of the teaching staff from the moment of the educational institution’s foundation. Most of the publications about the institute in the newspaper “Yeniseyskaya Pravda” were devoted to educational activities as the main type of work of the university: the results of examination sessions, the features of the organization of the educational process, and the extracurricular life of students. Since the 1940s, “Yeniseyskaya Pravda” has become a powerful and effective means of career guidance. The factual material, which has not been previously introduced into scientific circulation, provides an opportunity to trace the formation of all types of activities of the university in the first decade of its operation. The authors conclude that the active coverage of various aspects of the Yenisei Teachers’Institute’s activities in the district newspaper contributed to the establishment of the institute’s authority and created conditions for its openness, which facilitated its engagement with the general public.
