Аннотация: Comprehensive physical investigations of ASiF6·6H2O crystals (A = Zn, Cd, Ni, Fe, Co) were performed across a broad temperature range. For Zn, Cd, and Ni compounds, no structural phase transition was detected near 200–250 K via optical, thermal, or Raman methods. Previously observed anomalies are attributed to surface crystallizatiПоказать полностьюon of trapped aqueous solutions ejected during lattice contraction, rather than structural changes. Raman spectroscopy confirms the lattice remains intact, with spectral anomalies arising solely from surface microcrystals. Conversely, Fe and Co analogues exhibit genuine structural phase transitions accompanied by optical anisotropy and twinning. Thus, while gradual ordering occurs in Zn, Cd, and Ni salts, the effects near 200 K are surface artifacts, distinguishing them from the true phase transitions in Fe and Co crystals.
