Аннотация: <jats:p>We consider theoretical aspects of factor analysis in relation to the problem of predicting the reliable operation of low Earth orbit communication satellites and determine the issues of data collection and preparation for analysis, related to the specific features of low Earth orbit satellite operation. We propose approachПоказать полностьюes to solving data collection and preparation problems based on the nature of the factors affecting the spacecraft during operation. A classification of the described factors is given, taking into account their impact on the onboard equipment of the spacecraft. The main steps of conducting factor analysis using Data Science methods are examined in detail. We propose a hypothesis based on a comparative analysis of factor models of spacecraft with various technical conditions, and test this hypothesis by a numerical experiment.</jats:p>
