Аннотация: This research focuses on use of archaeological vessels, which are usually called vessels with “mounts” or “fumigator vessels”. These vessels are rather small sizes, which have the “mounts” for hanging. The analysis of archaeological interpretations of this type of ceramics, and information known from the travelers of Siberia 17^th-18^th centuries. An analysis of ethnographic data showed that the fumigator in the descriptions of travelers cannot be unambiguously correlated with archaeological ceramics with glued “mounts”. In the source we have four variants of using vessels -“fumigator vessels”, utensils for carrying fire, water, kitchen hanging utensils”. In future, this Experimental verification are will facilitate development in this area of research. The article looks through the main aspects requiring experimental verification.
