Аннотация: В статье прослеживается изменение и развитие темы «Портрет человека» в базовых программах по предмету «Изобразительное искусство» для общеобразовательных школ - «Изобразительное искусство. 1-9 классы» под руководством В.С. Кузина; «Изобразительное искусство и художественный труд» под руководством Б.М. Неменского; «Изобразительное иПоказать полностьюскусство и художественный труд. 1-4 классы. 5-9 классы» под руководством Т. Я. Шпикаловой. Определяются цели и задачи уроков, знакомящих учащихся 4-х классов с жанром портрет. Главной целью таких уроков является развитие личности ребенка и воспитание интереса к человеку. При этом на занятиях по изобразительному искусству предполагается создание графического портрета, знакомство с его особенностями и развитие графических навыков. Графические работы позволяют развиваться аналитическим качествам учащегося, позволяют внимательно вглядываться в человека, находить красоту во внутреннем и внешнем облике. The article shows how the topic «Portrait of a man» can be changed and developed in basic programs on the subject «Fine arts» for secondary schools. These programs are «Fine arts. Grades 1-9» issued under the direction of S. Cusin, «Fine art and artistic work under the direction of B. Nemenskij, «Fine arts and artistic work. Grades 1-4. Grades 5-9» under the direction of T. Shpikalova. The article defines goals and objectives of the lessons that introduce the genre of portrait to children attending the 4th grade. The main purpose of these lessons is children’s development and raising their interest to man’s personality. At the same time in the classroom for fine art is supposed to create graphic portrait, familiarity with its features and the development of graphic skills. Children study details and characteristics of graphic portrait and develop graphic skills. Graphic work is quite analytical and so it demands a closer, more attentive look at man in order to find the beauty both in the inner outer appearance. In conclusion we can see that turning to the portrait genre at the primary school lesﾭsons is mostly important for developing children’s personality, as well as abilities, graphic skills, emotional and spiritual spheres. Studying this subject children get to know about facial proportions, about the peculiarities of the genre, get acquainted with paintings of great masters. Children’s attitude to people around them changes: they become more attentive to them and keen, noticing something not seen before, recognizing other people’s emotions and understanding them better, not only by means of words, but also with the help of mimics and gestures. Besides developing imagination, graphic skills help children to improve logical thinking, generalization and the ability to carry work to the end.
